Hunter Safety Classes

Kaukauna Sportsmen's Club, Inc. is proud to sponsor Hunter Safety programs for our youth and adults. These classes are taught by state certified volunteer instructors. As an added enhancement, our classes are one of the only ones in the area that now offer the Archery Course as an add on to the Hunter Safety Course. Classes instruct the students in the skills of safe firearms handling and ethical hunting. These classes are a combination of lecture, homework and a lot of hands on practice. Successful completion of the course earns the student a state of Wisconsin Hunter Safety certificate. This certificate is a requirement to hunt in Wisconsin and many other states.

There are three classes that are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and then a field day session on Saturday. The classes start at 5:30pm sharp and go until 8:30pm. On the first night of class it is necessary for a parent or guardian to attend class to register the student, sign forms and have a short meeting with one of the instructors. It normally only takes 15 to 20 minutes to finish.

There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of materials.
